We understand the concern around using beeswax products near infants, especially under 1 year old. While raw honey can contain botulism spores, beeswax itself is extremely unlikely to carry them. Our beeswax is carefully separated from the honey during extraction and then heat-treated at 185°F through multiple rounds of cleaning and filtering. This process ensures any trace of honey—and any potential contaminants—are completely removed.
Our salve is safe to use on nipple wounds while breastfeeding and has provided amazing relief for nursing moms (including one in our own family!).
